Statement of support from Ken Livingstone:

All over London students are taking action against the government’s unfair and punitive plans that will deter many future students and saddle those on middle and lower incomes with massive debts. In the name of reducing the national deficit the Tory-led government plans to give each and every student a huge personal deficit of their own. They are so frightened of the reaction these fees hikes are provoking that they are rushing through the vote on the proposals. MPs who got a free education themselves are planning to pull the ladder up as fast they as can. We should not let them get away with it.

Students at KCL have my support in your campaign to oppose these fees and in the action you have taken that shows real political determination.
